Making Process
Stamp Carving
I create my design on the PC and then carve them into unmounted linoleum to create custom texture mats for each form.
Slab Building
The work is all hand built from flat slabs of clay. I use a slab roller to impress the texture into the clay.
Kiln Firing
Finally, the work is fired in a wood kiln and reduction cooled. Then each piece is individually sanded and polished.
